Paid to leave, then rehired

What else is new, two University of California employees receiving sweet severance packages & then getting a new U.C. job. That's what they do in private industry, however, we don't hear about it but it happens. The only reason we found out about Chrysler's CEO receiving a $210 million goodbye compensation package AFTER BEING FIRED from Home Depot is because Chrysler wants bailout money from the American taxpayer. We Americans need to stop fooling ourselves, when private industry gives signing bonuses & GIGANTIC goodbye compensation packages, we the American people pay for these compensation packages. How many people have purchased or are going to purchase merchandise from Home Depot?-if you did or are going to-you're paying for Chrsyler's CEO's $210 million goodbye compensation package. How many people do you know working for private industry or government who GETS FIRED & receives a $210 million goodbye compensation package, gets another CEO job with a lucrative salary & then has the audacity to ask the American taxpayer to give bailout money to his/her new employer?
