Governor orders state worker furlough

I don't see how this is going to save California any money-All this will mean is that 238,000 state workers & their families WILL STOP spending money on everything except for the basic necessities of life-food, rent, gas & electric, water, telephone, gas for their cars to get to work. I'm a State worker & have stopped spending money on everything except the basic necessities of life-I'm not purchasing Christmas presents or birthday presents for anyone. This means less sales tax money going into the General fund since the Governor & legislators want Californians to purchase big ticket items such as refrigerators, stoves, flat screen TVs' & new cars. In addition, since some state workers are being laid off & others are being furloughed two days a month State agencies that collect money that go into the General Fund such as Franchise Tax Board, Public Utilities Commission, etc. will collect less money because the State workers won't be there to collect the money & the State workers that are left will be doing double or triple the work in an 8 hour period which means they'll collect less money during that time period. HASN'T THE GOVERNOR EVER HEARD OF CUTTING OFF ONE'S NOSE TO SPITE YOUR FACE.
